Kelly Grace Cakes, based in Penshurst, Kent and seasonally in the charming coastal village of Port Isaac, Cornwall, is known for creating beautifully crafted cakes that are as delicious as they are memorable. From bespoke wedding cakes to elegant celebration cakes and delightful sweet treats for any occasion, every creation is made with exceptional care, creativity, and attention to detail—ensuring your special moments are celebrated in the most delicious way possible.
the Issue
From the client’s view
A few years ago, I had Yvette at Lemonade Design build my first website for my cake business after discovering her through Instagram. Later on, I decided to explore the wedding industry and had someone else create a separate Wix website focused on wedding décor. Unfortunately, that site never brought in any business. I eventually went back to Yvette to design a new website that combined both cakes and wedding décor under one brand. Over time, though, I realised that my true passion had always been cakes, and with our plans to be seasonally based in Port Isaac, Cornwall, it felt like the right time to simplify and return to what I love most.
the Solution
To bring Kelly’s website back in line with her true passion, we decided to strip things back and refocus entirely on her cake business. We reverted to her original branding, which still felt authentic and beautifully represented her style. Since the previous version of the site had combined both cakes and wedding décor, this new direction allowed us to simplify the structure, streamline the content, and let her stunning cake creations take centre stage. With the exciting addition of her seasonal base in Port Isaac, Cornwall, the new site was designed to reflect both locations and highlight her signature attention to detail. The result is a clean, elegant website that truly showcases the heart of Kelly Grace Cakes and makes it easy for clients to fall in love with her work.
