Small Business Website Design

Are you READY to STAND OUT?

When it comes to Small Business Website Design – I understand you. I am a small business too.

When it comes to working with Lemonade Design Co on your Small Business Website Design, it will be just YOU & ME

I only take on one client at a time, so you’ll have my full attention and priority during the design process. There’s some prep work you’ll need to do so I have everything I need to turn your website around in two weeks or less (depending on the scope of the project). I am a small business myself and that’s why I understand how to make your Small Business Website Design process as easy as possible!

Here’s an overview of how we’ll work together:

On boarding…

We will take a close look at your current website and discuss what you have and what you need in terms of both pages and design, to get the best from your Small Business Website Design. We’ll find out what is working on the current website and what’s not so that we can help you make improvements.

Once we hang up, I’ll shoot you over a quote for the work we discussed. A few optional extras like hosting, back-ups, and security might be nice to have, so I’ll include those too. You can pick and choose what works best for you and your budget.

It all depends on your particular business, but most small business website designs need at least five pages. This usually includes home, about, services, blog, and contact pages. You might also want specific pages for a portfolio, prices, lead magnet, and FAQs. If you’re looking to create a membership or e-commerce site, we’ll need to factor in additional pages. You should also factor in pages for your Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions.

If you’re worried about the budget, we can prioritise the most important elements for now. Most elements need their own page to really shine. For example, FAQs and a pricing guide probably shouldn’t share a page. A typical page might consist of 350-500 words.

No two businesses are alike, so why should their design solutions be any different? I have a tailor-made approach to each of my clients, finding the best possible solution for their individual small business website design. Whether that means working with templates to create a semi-custom design or starting from scratch to create a custom website just for you, I’m always open to what will work best for you. Your input is always welcome and appreciated – after all, it’s your business we’re talking about!

No matter what your budget is, I promise to be completely transparent about costs upfront. My small business website design fee includes all the necessary setup elements like migration, theme installation, personalisation, and domain transfer.

Of course, you’ll also need website hosting, a domain name, and any paid plugins required for your website’s functionality. But don’t worry – I’ll guide you through all of those details and help you find the best options within your budget.

If you want, you can also purchase maintenance and security packages from Lemonade Design Co. or from a third party.

Your Preparation…

I won’t lie to you and say that there’s no prep work involved in getting a new website – because there is. And this is often the part my clients underestimate, thinking they can catch up on the day I start working. But unfortunately, I work so fast that once I start, you’ll never catch up!

I need all your copy, content, brand info, and images resized correctly 7 working days before we are due to start or two days prior to the Deep Dive Call – whichever is sooner.

If I don’t have everything by this time, I won’t be able to start and there may be additional charges.

I only take on one client at a time so that I can give you my undivided attention.

I work quickly and efficiently, but in order to do so, I need all your content supplied to me in advance.

Content is key! Make sure to get all your ducks in a row at least two weeks before our start date so we can hit the ground running. If you’re scrambling to get things together last minute, unfortunately, that may result in additional charges or loss of your booking fee.

If you want to change your start date, just let me know 14 days in advance. Otherwise, I might have to turn away other clients and you might lose your booking fee.

No problem! I would be happy to resize and compress your images. Just drop me an email and let me know how many images you need resizing, and I will send you a quote. Click the link below!

I work with some of the most talented copywriters around and would be happy to do an introduction. However, if you’re working with a copywriter, please make sure they’re aware of your deadline and that you have approval to use the copy before your project starts.

I also offer a service to ensure your existing copy has the right tone for you. email me for a quote!

Before we start your project, let’s schedule a deep-dive call to go over all the details. This way, I’ll have everything I need to create your new website and/or brand. We can explore your preferences and design options so that I can begin designing with all the right information.

Design & brand Build

After you book, we’ll set up a Deep Dive Call so I can learn more about your vision. On the first day of the design and build, we’ll work closely together to get the home page right. There may be 1 or 2 Zoom Calls during this time. Once the home page is complete, I’ll move on to the rest of the pages and send them over for your review.

Please note that I work pretty fast and will need your feedback in order to complete your website in the time I have allotted.

I’ll be sending each page of the new website over to you for review and feedback as I work on it. Once it’s finished, there will be very little editing to be done.

However, I do ask that you please take a look at EACH page before we go live, to make sure that all the spelling, grammar, addresses and information are correct.

Once you’re happy with the new website, I’ll send you the final balance for payment ahead of transfer to your domain.

No two businesses are alike, so why should their design solutions be any different? I take a tailor-made approach to each of my clients, finding the best possible solution for their individual needs. Whether that means working with templates to create a semi-custom design or starting from scratch to create a custom website just for you, I’m always open to what will work best for you. Your input is always welcome and appreciated – after all, it’s your small business website design we’re talking about!

After your new website goes live, it can take up to 48 hours for it to propagate across the internet. Some users may need to clear their cache in order to see the updated site.

For security purposes, your website login credentials will be sent to you via 17Hats or another secure email service. This way, you can be confident that your passwords are protected.

Once everything is completed, you’ll receive a link to my “moving forward” page. There, you’ll find helpful tips and tricks on what to do with your new website. You’ll also find information on our Maintenance/Security Plan–which I highly recommend for all of my clients.
