Why I love 17hats CRM! Ask any entrepreneur what is the one thing they hate about running and business and they will say the paperwork!

I have been using 17hats since I started my Website Design Business back in 2016 and I have to say I LOVE it… it’s like having multiple employees without the expense of having to pay someone else to do the work.

If you’ve ever used multiple solutions to manage your accounts you know how frustrating Bookkeeping can be. I used to spend my year-ends in tears and frustrated trying to make sense of what I had done that year!

The Hunt for the perfect CRM

When I ran my photography business I used LightBlue Software which was designed by photographers for photographers, and whilst it did an OK job it always felt really clunky and not joined up! So I knew that when I started my Website Design Business that I wanted something that felt like it offered the complete package.

Having tried several CRM systems over the years I knew that I wanted something that could manage everything all in one place.

How 17hats and Dubsado Compare

Both 17hats and Dubsado offer a 14-day trial of their CRM and when I was looking I texted both and I would still urge people to test what is best for them and their business, however for me the clear winner is 17hats.

Pricing

17hats offers a tiered pricing option, with Level One starting at $150 per year, perfect for someone getting started in business or has just a few clients per year, but who still needs to look professional. Level Two is $300 per year, perfect for a growing business, and Level Three is $600 per year, allowing you to completely automate the client experience and run multiple businesses.

Dubsado offers one price point at $400 per year and you have to pay extra for any additional businesses that you want to set up.

DASHBOARD

One of the things that stood out for me when I did my trial was the Dashboards, I am Dyslexic and I really struggle with the Dubsado Dashboard, it doesn’t have enough contrast, which made it really difficult for me to navigate. Here is an example of the two dashboards for you to see.

For me, 17hats was the clearer winner, it had the edge over Dubsado and I felt that their Dashboard was more user-friendly, and it also allowed me to run multiple businesses without an extra charge.

Another key feature that I LOVE about 17hats is the fact that their email seamlessly integrates emails, so if I decide to reply with my Gmail, or Apple Mail it also adds it into my 17hats portal for that client, they are the only company that offers this level of email integration.

17hats makes me look professional

One of the things I hear time and time again from clients and potential clients is ‘I LOVE how all your quotes, questionnaires, online booking, etc look, I want that for my business.

I love that I can set up workflows that automate when someone accepts a quote or completes a questionnaire, and I love the fact that I can now integrate scheduling and keep everything all in one place, which means I no longer have to waste time connecting the dots from one portal to 17hats.

  • Online Scheduling means I can add a Book a Call feature to my website without extra cost
