How I build a website so quickly from a clients viewpoint
You want a new website and you want it now, so let’s look at how I build a website so quickly from a client’s viewpoint… On average I can build a new website in 3-5 days for a standard website design and 7-10 for an E-Commerce Website.
It’s one thing to build a website in days when you are both in the same timezone, but many of my clients are based in States!
I always warn clients that it will be a fast pace ride but at the end of it, they will have a beautiful website that they can be proud of. One such client was an Austin, Texas-based writer…
Lenette Lyndsey who is based in Austin and some 8 hours time difference, needed a website live in less than a week.
Austin Base Writer Lenette Lindsey
It was March 17th, when I received a Request a Quote for a new website in my inbox, and as I read it I saw that the website had to be LIVE by the following week before Lenette flew to California for a writers conference!
She had previously installed Divi on her WordPress website months before and had been struggling to get her website live. In desperation, with a week left to go, she decided to see if it was possible to get a website live?
As luck would have it, a client who was booked had to postpone, so I had space.
So now her website is live I thought it would be good to catch up and ask her how she felt my Rapid Build Service was.
So your new website is now finished, how did you feel about the whole process of the build?
I must say the truth! I am so impressed with not only the process but with the outcome!
Yvette is a professional, and also very personable! She was willing to make my website what I desired! If I needed suggestions, she gave them, Design ideas, she gave them! Word choice, she gave them!
She even covered the practical and legal ideas regarding websites. Yvette is a professional and knows her market as well as her technical design!
I will recommend her every single time to all of my friends and colleagues!
What do you think of your new design?
I love the design of my website! Yvette worked with me on my preferences regarding color and wording!
What is your favourite element of your new website or brand?
I love how my website incorporates my love for color and design with the words I want to say! Words really do matter!
How do you feel the design is balanced with functionality?
I needed a basic design. Yvette created that with the specifics I requested.
If you go to my website, you can navigate easily to the important sections of my site. That was important to me! Although I know when I’m ready to upgrade to bigger and better, Yvette will help me do just that!
What was the most surprising aspect of the design and build process of your new website?
I honestly thought based on research and online training that I could do it all myself. (I know, go ahead and laugh out loud!) But upon trying, I realized that I could not do it on my own!
So I began my research for a great web designer. I found one through The Design Space, Yvette is fabulous!
Is there any aspect that you would do differently?
There is nothing I would do differently, except, if I could travel from the U.S to England to work with her in person, that would be be my choice! Maybe when I upgrade! : )
What was the deciding factor in choosing Lemonade Design Co?
I loved her own website, loved the colors, the simplicity, the clarity, and the layout of her website! I also researched her clients and the designs she created for them! They were all fabulous!
How did you find the communication between you and Lemonade Design Co?
I cannot say enough about the communication between me and Yvette! She was so accommodating even within our time difference between the U.S. and the U.K. Yvette is very tech-savvy and will use the best form of communication for you!
Please describe your experience working with Lemonade Design
I loved every aspect of my experience working with Lemonade Design. Yvette is amazing! She responded so quickly to me when others could not. Even though she is busy with other clients, she gave me her time and her best!
I will recommend her to all my friends and colleagues! Personally, I am not very technical (which might be the understatement of the year), but Yvette showed an immense amount of patience with me!
This is a testimony to her services and knew I would need patience! So I reached out!
Any tips you would give to someone else looking for a website?
Do your research before you start as to what you like. It makes the process go faster. The better you can communicate to your website designer, the more you value their time and yours. Have many website examples so Yvette can see your style and preferences. Really be in tune to what you love! And this includes knowing what is popular in your industry.
Is there anything I could have done better, or made easier for you?
No, there’s nothing you could have done better! You can invite me to England so we can have tea! We can keep our friendship! When I need your future services, I’ll take your advice, and I’ll pay you for your time. But our friendship will remain outside of our businesses! You are an amazing woman! Proverbs 31!

So what do I need to get started?
Being organised is key to being able to design and build a website in a matter of days. So before I can get begin I need to have everything ready to start your project.
Most clients realistically need between two and four weeks to gather everything together and sent to me. The following is required before I can begin.
- Imagery – correctly sized for where it will be going on the website
- Copy for the website – please note if you are working with a copywriter that you have a confirmed date that they will have your copy ready by before you book a date for me to do your website
- All forms completed and sent back to me
- A deep dive call prior to starting
