You’ve Launched Your New Website… Now What?
“You’ve hit that magical “Publish” button and your brand-new website is finally live. The colours are perfect, your copy sparkles, and your images look incredible. So… now what?
If you’re sitting there refreshing Google wondering why you’re not suddenly flooded with enquiries, don’t worry, you’re not alone. A website launch is a huge milestone, but it’s really just the beginning. The next step is getting it seen.
Here’s what I recommend to every Lemonade Design Co client after their new site goes live 👇
Announce it… EVERYWHERE!
Your launch deserves a little fanfare! Share it proudly on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and anywhere else your audience hangs out. Tell your followers what’s new, maybe you’ve added online booking, new services, or a revamped portfolio.
💡 Tip: Don’t just say “my new website is live!”… tell a story about why you’ve had a new website or refreshed it, what it says about your brand, or what’s new for your clients. People love a good before-and-after moment.
2. Add your website link everywhere
Think of your new website as your digital home… now it needs a little signpost on every corner of the internet!

3. Submit your site to Google
If I’ve built your website, it’ll already be SEO-ready, but Google still needs a nudge to index it. Head to Google Search Console, add your domain, and click “Request Indexing”. This helps Google know your shiny new site exists and starts getting it to show in search results.
4. Start blogging (and do it consistently)
Blogging is one of the best ways to keep your website fresh and improve SEO. Share behind-the-scenes updates, answer FAQs, show off your latest work, or write about common client questions.
Consistency is key, even one post a month can help build authority over time (and give you fab content to share on social media).
5. Build backlinks
Backlinks are when other websites link to yours, and they’re gold for SEO. Think collaborations, directories, guest posts, or press features. Even something as simple as a supplier mentioning you on their website can help boost your domain authority.
6. Send a newsletter
If you have an email list (and you should!), let your subscribers know you’ve relaunched. Share the story behind the new look, highlight what’s new, and include a link inviting them to explore.
It’s a lovely way to re-engage past clients and remind them what you offer.

7. Keep an eye on your analytics
Connect Google Analytics or Fathom Analytics to see what’s working and where visitors are coming from. Watching your traffic grow after launch is always rewarding, and helps you see what content or pages people love most.
8. Don’t forget maintenance
A well-built site should run smoothly, but it still needs regular TLC. Keep plugins updated, renew your SSL certificate, and back it up regularly (or better yet, let me do it for you). Think of it like getting your car serviced, a little upkeep now saves bigger issues later.
9. Keep learning & evolving
Your website isn’t a “set it and forget it” kind of thing. Treat it as a living part of your business, update your images, tweak your copy, and keep it aligned with your growth.
When your business evolves, your website should evolve with it.

Final Thoughts…
Launching your website is just the start, it’s what you do next that really helps it shine. Celebrate, share, update, and nurture it regularly, and you’ll see your online visibility grow week by week.
And if you ever feel unsure about what to focus on next, I’m just an email away, I love helping clients turn their brand-new websites into thriving online spaces that actually convert.
